You Need to See Rihanna's New Blunt Side Fringe Look
Rihanna is one of the greatest beauty moguls of our time, period. Whether she's bossin' a brand new Fenty Beauty release or an out-of-the-box hair color (read: RiRi got green highlights), the singer-songwriter and all-around Bad Gal is well-versed on the industry trends. However, this time, it's not a new skincare product or hair colour that she has us gushing over – but instead, it's a cut that reminds us of our secondary school days. Cue the circa 2006 flashbacks...
In a recent Instagram post for a Savage X Fenty lingerie campaign, Ri is sporting an ear-length blunt side fringe. And it's one of those we all had back in our Y2K prime. Think: too long for the full-forehead look but too short to tuck behind the ears. Plus, it's not just the length that has us thinking of our youth because the most nostalgic part of her fringe is the cut.
As we all know, 2021/2022 saw the rise of the curtain bangs, which are a face-framing layered shape. Though, back in the good ol' days (aka the early 00s), the in-fringe style had no layers.
No matter the length, fringes were cut straight across. And that's putting it quite bluntly – pun most definitely intended. Priscilla Ono, Rihanna's go-to MUA shared a still image of the look which you can see below:
As well as the fringe, the rest of Ri's hair has been styled pin-straight, too. And don't even get us started on that fire lingerie set.
Just when we thought Rihanna had peaked with her maternity beauty, she serves us this lewk. I suppose as the saying goes: the best is yet to come!
