Christmas time is an annual holiday for families to get together, laugh, take pictures, watch Christmas movies and most of all eat.

But if your family doesn't feel like sweating over a hot stove for a meal for Christmas, don't worry, these Jackson-area restaurants have you covered Christmas Day.

Below are some of the Jackson-area restaurants that will be open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day:

Scrooge's Fine Foods and Drinks

The pub-style restaurant will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. offering their Sunday Christmas Eve special with a choice of Chicken or Sirloin Steak and a choice of 40 different veggies. Scrooge's is closed on Christmas Day.

Waffle House

All locations in the Jackson metro and surrounding areas will be open all day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Waffle House will be serving its traditional everyday breakfast items.

I-HOP

Both the Jackson and Flowood locations will be open all day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Flowood location will be offering red or green pancakes and there will also be a Willy Wonka kids' special going on until Jan. 15.

Capitol Grill

The sports bar will be open at 1 p.m. to 10 p.m serving drinks only at the bar area.

Denny's

The Ridgeland and Pearl locations will be open all day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day serving its traditional style breakfast items.

Ding How Asian Bistro

The Asian Bistro will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Piccadilly

Piccadilly will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Serving their traditional everyday soul food items and dessert selections.

  • 4800 I-55 Suite 1, Jackson

China Cafe

The Flowood location will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. serving Chinese original food selections of shrimp fried rice and more.

Cracker Barrel

The Pearl location will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. serving their traditional breakfast items and also customers can choose lunch items from the menu.
