We all have those embarrassing, stick-your-foot-in-your-mouth moments, but for Regina Hall, it happened on live TV. The Scary Movie actress attended the Golden Globes and had the honor of presenting the award for Best Television Actor—Drama. The nominees included Jeff Bridges (The Old Man), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Diego Luna (Andor), Adam Scott (Severance), and Kevin Costner (Yellowstone).

Kevin Costner won the award, the first Golden Globe for Yellowstone. The actor had previously issued a statement saying he and his wife Christine Baumgartner could not attend the ceremony due to the devastating flooding in California, but it seems Regina Hall didn't get the memo.

The comedian accepted the award on his behalf, but couldn't get through the statement without laughing. She began by reading the teleprompter, "He so much wanted to be here, oh, I love when they write this. 'I mean, if he won then he would've really wanted to be here. But you won, so...' " She continued, "He so much wanted to be here, but because of the unprecedented weather and flooding he has to shelter in place in Santa Barbara. Sorry, this is a sad story, let's pray everyone." Regina seemed to recognize the seriousness of the situation and tried to regain her composure.

Kevin, who had expressed his sadness over missing the awards show, released a statement on Instagram after learning that he won. He wrote, "Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press and @goldenglobes for this tremendous honor and to the @yellowstone team for bringing John Dutton’s world to life. I share this recognition with my castmates, the producers, and our incredible crew. Most of all, thank you to our show’s fans, who love Yellowstone Ranch as if it were their own."
