Call it a double fault.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios smashed two rackets against the ground in frustration after losing Tuesday’s U.S. Open quarterfinal in five sets to Karen Khachanov of Russia.
Video shows Kyrgios repeatedly slamming one racket against the court at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens, then picking up a second racket and hurling it into the ground as well.
An image taken after the outburst showed at least one racket was destroyed.
“I honestly feel like s--t,” Kyrgios said after the loss, according to ESPN. “I feel like I’ve let so many people down. These four tournaments [the grand slams] are the only ones that ever are going to matter.

“It’s just like you’ve got to start it all again,” he continued. “I have to wait till Australian Open. It’s just devastating. Like, it’s heartbreaking. Not just for me, but for everyone that I know that wants me to win.”

Kyrgios defeated the tournament’s top seed, Daniil Medvedev, on Sunday in the fourth round. Medvedev won the U.S. Open last year.
The 27-year-old Kyrgios has never won a grand slam tournament. He lost to Novak Djokovic in the 2022 Wimbledon final in July.
