SEE IT: Kerry Washington asks kids about the election. They have a few interesting ideas

Actress Kerry Washington hosted “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Tuesday, where she rounded up a bunch of children to speak about November’s election through their laptops.

The youngsters didn’t know much, but they tried their best to answer the “Scandal” star’s questions in a segment called “Kinder-cision 2020.”

Her first virtual guest was a boy named Cary, who said he knows what voting is, but isn’t sure how it works. He imagined you just tell someone who you want to have as president.

“Maybe you go in the White House and say it?” Cary said.

Washington’s second pundit was a girl named Isa who thought she’d voted in the past, but wasn’t sure.

“I don’t know,” Isa said. “I’ll have to (ask) my mom.”

She later speculated about President Trump that as far as she can tell “He doesn’t like to have fun.”,

Isa didn’t seem familiar with Joe Biden.

Things got personal when Washington asked a girl named Peyton, who has missing front teeth, if people with missing teeth should be allowed to vote. The child thought about it for a moment.

“Yes, because I lost my front teeth and I’m voting right now,” Peyton said from her sofa.

Guests on Tuesday’s show were also asked how much it costs to vote.

One boy guessed $50 and another put the amount between $100 and $200. A third kid estimated $2,000 sounded about right for casting a ballot.

When Washington asked a boy named Jayden what a president is, he said it was someone who owned the state. Washington said that sounded a little “authoritarian” and Jayden doubled down.

“Uh-huh,” he said. “They own the state.”

Carter, the boy who’d guessed it costs $50 to vote, said he knew Donald Trump was the current president and isn’t thrilled about his decision to reopen schools.

“He’s kind of handling things out of control because he wants people to go to school but a lot of people are getting sick,” Carter said.

Peyton’s assessment of the president was a little less specific.

“All I know is that he’s going nuts!” she said.

Peyton also suggested Justin Bieber, who was not born in the U.S. and in ineligible to run, would be a good commander-in-chief.

There was at least one conspiracy theorist in the group — a girl named Teagan.

“What do you think of (Trump)?” Washington asked.

The girl replied “Alien.”

Going back to Carter, Washington asked if he knew that it was 100 years ago Tuesday that women won the right to vote.

“Women weren’t allowed on boats?” he asked quizzically.

He was even more surprised when Washington clarified that women were not allowed to vote.

“Whaaaaat?”Carter said with his eyes bugging out.

Washington is slated to speak at the DNC Convention Wednesday.
