SEE IT: Joe Biden gets behind the wheel of a Corvette Stingray and lets it rip

Here’s one thing you probably haven’t seen President Trump do — drive a convertible sports car.

Presidential candidate Joe Biden got behind the wheel of his classic Corvette convertible and showed off his driving skills in a video posted to Twitter on Wednesday.

“There’s been a lot of talk about my vetting process lately,” reads a caption above a screenshot of the former vice president on the open road. “Here’s an inside look.”

In the video, Biden, wearing a mask and sunglasses, fires up the engine of a 1967 green Corvette that appears to be in top shape.

“I like to drive,” he said in the video. “I used to think I was a pretty good driver.”

He then gets inside, fires up the car’s engine, and zips away, navigating a curve and passing what appears to be a parked car in the distance. Biden said driving the classic sports car made him think of his father as well as his son Beau, both of whom have died.

“God, could my dad drive a car,” he said. “Oof!”

Biden marvels over the craftsmanship of the Corvette and says “This is just, boom.”

Joe Biden: Why the hell would I take a (cognitive) test?

He also expresses excitement over the advances being made in the electric car market, including a new Corvette that tops 200 m.p.h.

The 77-year-old politician says if that happens, he wants to drive one of those hot rods.

An all-electric Corvette prototype topped out at 205.6 in a 2016 test run, according to Road and Track. Forbes said that limited edition speedster will cost $750,000 when it hits the consumer market.

“So, I’m excited about it,” he said.

According to Biden, the American auto industry should be headed for big things.

President Trump has made Biden’s supposedly compromised mental speed an issue in the 2020 election, which is less than three months away. Trump’s ride of choice is a 2018 armored Cadillac known as “The Beast.” It’s been called the safest car on the planet.

The Corvette ad, paid for by Biden for President, ends with the words “American-made is making a comeback” printed across the screen.

Biden’s all-American persona was satirized in a classic article in the satirical newspaper The Onion in 2009, which ran a story using doctored images of the vice president shirtless and washing a 1981 Trans-Am in the White House parking driveway.

“Hey, hot stuff, looking good,” the fake newspaper quoted Biden saying to a White House aide. “Would you know where I could get a little bucket and sponge action? My mean machine needs to be cleaned.”
