See what a flying Lamborghini looked like after it crashed and hit the roof of a house

A Lamborghini SUV crashed into another vehicle and landed on a duplex roof before falling onto the lawn and catching fire, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue said.

One person heard Sunday’s crash from a nearby backyard and approached the driver of the white luxury SUV to help him get out of the vehicle. But the driver told the witness to let go and then took off running, according to a police report.

When rescue crews arrived, the SUV was in flames and the driver was gone, according to fire-rescue.

William Dion McQueen Jr., 24, called police Monday to deny that he intentionally ran away from the scene, the crash report said. He told police that he doesn’t remember what happened after the crash other than a stranger driving him to his hotel and his friend driving him to a Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

One unspecified person involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the silver Nissan who got hit by the Lamborghini had the right of way, according to the report. The report didn’t say whether McQueen was speeding or whether he ran the intersection’s stop sign. The crash happened in the 1100 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.

The crash report said McQueen was hoping to resolve the case before his 5 p.m. flight on Monday back to his hometown of Stafford, Virginia. The crash report labels the incident as a hit-and-run, but police declined to say whether McQueen is facing charges or if he’s been arrested.

Benjamin Meshel is the owner of the Lamborghini and told police he rents the car out to customers, according to the report. His name is listed under the company Lux Automotive LLC.
