The Call Me Kat cast is mourning the unexpected loss of co-star Leslie Jordan.

On October 24, news broke that the 67-year-old actor died in a car crash in Hollywood. The Los Angeles Police Department believe the incident was caused by a medical emergency. According to authorities, Leslie's car crashed into a wall and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An official cause of death has yet to be announced.

He was most famous for roles in Will and Grace, American Horror Story and most recently sharing the screen with actress Mayim Bialik on the hit Fox sitcom. "We are shocked and devastated by today’s tragic passing of Leslie Jordan," read an official statement from the show on Instagram.

It continued: "Leslie carried an infectious exuberance, indelible sense of humor, and gifted us with countless memories that will last forever. We extend our most profound sympathies to Leslie’s family, friends, and fans. 🤍."

Amid the news, Deadline reported that production for Call Me Kat season 3 paused but its newest episode will air as scheduled with a featured tribute. The outlet also disclosed that Leslie, who played head baker Phil, filmed nine episodes prior to his death.

In a series of heartbreaking tributes, the cast and producers of Call Me Kat shared memories of their time with Leslie.

Mayim Bialik: "They broke the mold when they made Leslie Jordan. He was a dear mentor and a beloved friend. I will miss him so much — it’s unimaginable that he’s gone. Rest well, sweet buddy."

Cheyenne Jackson: "My heart is broken in half today. From the moment I saw him bellow the phrase 'Karen Walker, I thought I smelled gin and regret' on Will & Grace … I was a forever fan. Then I was lucky enough to become his friend in real life."

Jim Parsons (Call Me Kat executive producer): "If Leslie touched your life in any way, from near or far, you were never the same. Leslie was both a man of the earth and an absolute angel ... I am shocked and sad beyond words to learn of his death, but I am equally filled with immense gratitude at having crossed his path on his journey."
