SEE IT: 82-year-old woman drives into upstate bakery, is unhurt

Fixing this store will not be a piece of cake.

An 82-year-old woman drove her car through the front of a bakery Tuesday in Clifton Park, N.Y., the Albany Times-Union reported. No one was seriously injured.

State police said Kathryn Ford mistook the gas for the brake and slammed into Dolce and Biscotti, about 15 miles north of the state capitol, according to the Times-Union.

Ford was in such shock that she kept flooring it through the cake case until the bakery owner’s husband, Tom Fron, ran over and removed the keys from the ignition.

“I was at the cash register and everyone else was in a separate corners of the bakery. It happened so fast. I heard a crash and she was in the middle of the bakery,” Fron told the Times-Union. “We are blessed. Everything that was damaged can be repaired.”

Store owner Mary Baldi-Fron said the store will be closed for “a week or two.”
