Section V wrestling results for Wednesday, Nov. 29

Monroe County

Fairport 37, Hilton 28

F: Red Raiders 101-pounder Bennett Palmeri clinched the victory in the season-opener for both Division I teams with a pin at 1:51. Phillip Provenzano won by decision 9-0 at 138 pounds to give team a 19-0 lead.

H: Hilton trailed 31-25 after a pin in the 285-pound match by Elijah Diakomihalis. Landon Lazarek made the score 19-19 when he pinned his 170-pound opponent.

Churchville-Chili 62, Irondequoit 10

C-C: Saints 170-pounder Andrew Frost, Gael Sanchez at 285 and Jayden Gourdine (160) won by fall or pin. Coy Raines earned points for a technical fall victory 20-5 at 215.

I: Owen Callhan pinned his opponent at 138.
