Ole Miss, Mississippi State baseball permanent SEC opponents announced starting in 2025

Ole Miss and Mississippi State baseball learned on Thursday who their permanent opponents will be when the SEC adopts a division-less scheduling policy beginning with the 2025 season.

The change, driven by the league's addition of Texas and Oklahoma, will see each program play two opponents every season in a three-game series, with the conference using a rotational format to determine opponents for the remaining eight three-game series each season.

Ole Miss will play Mississippi State and Arkansas every year, while the Bulldogs will take on the Rebels and LSU annually.

"The permanent SEC baseball opponents were determined based on a number of factors including geography, traditional opponents and strength of schedule," the SEC said in a statement shared Thursday.

Both the Rebels and Bulldogs will be looking to return to the postseason in 2024 after failing to make the NCAA Tournament in 2023.
