Seahawks Fan Mina Kimes Reacts To Russell Wilson Trade

Poor Mina Kimes didn’t deserve this.

A well-known Seahawks fan, ESPN analyst Mina Kimes was going through it after seeing Seattle trade away franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos Tuesday.

“Initial reaction,” Kimes tweeted. “The likelihood that this works out for Seattle long term is very, very low.”

After seeing the details of the trade, her feelings didn’t change.

“Yeah, unless Wilson complete drops off…this is a huge L for Seattle.”

Adding, “I would’ve been [slightly] more hopeful if they had thrown in Surtain. But this ain’t it.”

“Tweeting through it,” a frustrated Kimes continued.

Even when the analyst looked for the silver lining in her Russell Wilson-less cloud, reality snapped her back.

Tweeting, “The good news about the Seahawks doing a rebuild is their history of drafti—”

Then, Kimes tried to cope by dreaming up a new scheme for Pete Carroll and the Seahawks.

“Coping update: Draft [Malik] Willis at #9 and just see what happens. I can’t do a [Drew] Lock season. Let’s at least get weird.”

When Jimmy Garoppolo was floated as possible replacement, Mina saw a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel. Saying, that’s the future she deserves.

Followed by a second coping update:

“Coping update 2: Just remembered I have Noah Fant in dynasty. The L’s keep rolling in.”

Kimes finished by shooting back at the Arizona Cardinals after they tried to troll her.
