Scorers and savers: Vote for 2024 Jackson area boys soccer early season player of the year

Jackson area boys soccer is already rolling this season.

The top players in the area have started the season strong. It's time to vote for the early season player of the year.

Fans may vote once per hour. The poll closes at 5 p.m., Friday.

Here are the nominees for the Jackson area soccer early season player of the year poll.

Christopher Cerda, Crockett County, So.: Cerda was a member of the All-West Tennessee second team last season as a freshman.

Haden Tidwell, Hardin County, Sr.: Tidwell started his final high school season strong with a big goal for the Tigers.

Jayden Reid, Haywood, So: Reid started his varsity career last season with some offensive contributions then followed up with a season-opening hat trick this season against South Side.

Roy Macias, Madison, Jr.: Macias backstopped the Mustangs to the state championship and had a 0.494 goals against average last season.

Stafford Roditis, McKenzie, Sr.: Roditis helped anchor the Rebels back field to post shutouts in seven of their 11 games last season.

Mario Martinez, North Side, Sr.: Martinez totaled 53 saves for North Side last season.

Irving Garcia, Sacred Heart, Sr.: Garcia scored 26 goals for the Knights last season.

Grant Goodman, South Gibson, Sr.: Goodman had a team-best 15 goals and seven assists for the Hornets last season.

Christian Melton, USJ, Sr.: Melton is a prolific hat trick scorer, he already has one this season for the Bruins.

Christian Lo, South Side, Sr.: Lo had an 80% save percentage and had four clean sheets last season for the Hawks.
