Jason Kelce gave us the retirement speech of all retirement speeches.
It was the announcement we all saw coming, since the Philadelphia Eagles season ended in January. But, boy, did Jason Kelce exceed expectations. In an emotional tribute to the city of Philadelphia, the Eagles organization, his brother Travis, and his wife Kylie, Jason had the world in tears.
Then, New Heights, the podcast the Kelce brothers share, made us cry all over again with a clip of Travis discussing his thoughts on Jason’s retirement.
Oh, and the Cleveland natives were honored at halftime of a Cleveland Cavaliers game this week, where they smashed a beer chugging contest. They really do it all.
March is Women’s History Month…and what a month the first week has been.
March kicked off with Caitlin Clark announcing she’d be entering the WNBA draft, followed by her shattering the NCAA single-season scoring record previously held by Pistol Pete Maravich, which she did in front of a national TV audience that eclipsed even NBA season-openers.

Then, MLB announced they would be adding women to MLB: The Show 24. An announcement that came with a little backlash, but was swiftly shut down by supporters.
Even a sports bar in Minnesota is catering to the rise in fandom for women’s sports. ‘A Bar of Their Own,’ opened its doors on March 1, with a commitment to women’s sports.

It’s official - the Denver Broncos are releasing quarterback Russell Wilson next week and avoiding $37 million in salary guarantees for 2025. Wilson’s $39 million for 2024 was already guaranteed. The Broncos have, however, allowed Wilson to start meeting with potential teams.
The Las Vegas A’s have released renderings of what their $1.5 billion stadium will look like in Vegas. Fans are drawing comparisons to the Sydney Opera House in Australia, and the jokes did not stop. In fact, the A’s disabled replies when they posted the photos to X.
EA Sports is bringing back a college football game in 2025, and it’s been announced that the game will include over 10,000 players. Older versions of the game were wildly popular in the early 2000’s, but players weren’t compensated for name and likeness, ending the series. But, now with NIL deals on the table, it’s back, and each player will receive $600 and a copy of the game.
