Flag Football

Region 3-2A semifinals

No. 1 Fort Pierce Central (18-1) 14, No. 4 Palm Beach Gardens (14-4) 0: The Cobras will play host to Martin County on Tuesday from Lawnwood Stadium for the district title. Central defeated Martin County 20-6 on Feb. 29.

No. 2 Martin County (17-1) 39, No. 3 Harmony (13-4) 20: Dakota Moberg had touchdowns on both sides of the field to help the Tigers advance to the regional final.

The senior had three scoring receptions of 19, 15 and 25 yards as well as a 77 yards interception return score. Moberg finished with 13 catches for 103 yards.

Hailey Walsh chipped in seven catches for a team-best 108 yards along with a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Anna Staten put the first points on the scoreboard after she hauled in a 20-yard pass from Cali Scornavacca, who completed 23 of 26 passes for three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Defensively, Rachel Matuszek led Martin County with 12 flag pulls and two pass breakups. Walsh had 10 flag pulls.

Softball

Jensen Beach (13-7) 6, John Carroll Catholic (18-5) 5 (F/10): A marathon evening went the Falcons’ way as they squeaked past the Rams at home in 10 innings. The visitors scored a run in the top of the 10th before the home team walked it off with two runs in the bottom of the frame. Molly Santiago produced a one-out hit to drive in the game-winning run.

Both teams saw their pitchers go the distance as Mallory Wheeler earned the victory. The senior tossed 10 innings, allowing nine hits and two walks while striking out 15. Offensively, she had a hit and walked twice.

Also giving up nine hits, Isabella Ramirez had 13 strikeouts to just three walks. The junior had two hits, a walk and a run scored at the plate. Each finishing with two hits and scoring once, Briley Orton had two RBIs while Lilly Rollinger had a double and an RBI.

Martha Jones paced Jensen Beach with three hits. Lus Segura notched two hits and two RBIs.

Treasure Coast (11-13) 6, Lincoln Park Academy (10-7) 5: After the Greyhound tied it with two runs in the top of the seventh, the Titans scored one their next time up to walk it off.

Kennedy Moody was the top hitter for the home team. The senior went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Savannah McMichael added three walks and a run scored.

Morningside Academy (13-7) 17, City of Life Christian Academy (12-5) 15: The Eagles were victorious in a track meet with the Warriors.

Morningside Academy racked up 16 hits, with Trinity Richards, Leigha Race and Gianna DeRicco each contributing nine hits. Richards produced two doubles as well as two RBIs. Race scored three times, drove in four runs and hit a triple.

Master’s Academy (11-7) 17, Berean Christian (9-7) 1 (F/4): Aubrey Grall collected nine strikeouts and allowed a run on a hit and two walks through 3 2/3 innings in the circle for the Patriots. The eighth-grader was one of a pair of hits to have three hits. She was joined by Olivia Lore, who went 3-for-3 with four RBIs.

Palm Beach Gardens (19-3) 14, Martin County (6-11) 1 (F/5): Amelia Hannah, Ciana Vargas and Brianna Bohan each had a hit for the Tigers, with Maya Scotti scoring their lone run.

Baseball

Jensen Beach (12-10) 6, John Carroll Catholic (13-11) 4: The Falcons soared over the Rams at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie thanks to a great offensive performance from Jake Figman. The senior infielder went 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Hudson Gardiner chipped in with two RBIs while Dylan Fatovich added a hit, two walks and two runs scored for a Jensen Beach team that has won its last five games.

Taggert Cameron had three hits while Brennan Jones drove in two runs for John Carroll.

Martin County (18-6) 4, Port St. Lucie (10-13) 2: The Tigers avoided a three-game skid after defeating the Jaguars on the road. Sean D’Agostini spun a near-flawless game on the mound, allowing a hit and two walks with six strikeouts through 6 2/3 innings.

Martin County put up 10 hits, highlighted by a 4-for-4 effort by Dalton French. Stone Preston (HBP, RBI, R) and Michael Sanchez each contributed two hits.

St. Lucie West Centennial (9-15) 10, Lincoln Park Academy (9-8) 0 (F/6): Chris D’Angelo tossed a two-hitter to lift the Eagles to a Senior-Day victory. The senior pitcher allowed one walk and struck out nine in six innings.

Offensively, Christian Alonso and Peyton Salerno each had two hits. Alonso had a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Salerno posted a triple, a walk and scored twice. Nico Williams and Gio Lopez had a double apiece.

Treasure Coast (15-6) 14, Palm Beach Gardens (8-16-1) 1 (F/5): Following a stretch of four losses in six games, the Titans capped the regular season with back-to-back wins.

Angel Hilario and Colin Jackson combined for a no-hitter. Hilario fanned eight and walked three through four innings. Jackson relinquished an unearned run in an inning of work.

Raymond Missett orchestrated most of the damage at the plate against the Gators. The senior went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored. Jacob Suazo scored four times to go with three hits, including a double. Alexander Frye and Logan Zavala each had a pair of hits, as they drove in three and two runs, respectively.

Viera (12-10) 5, Vero Beach (18-4) 2: The Indians saw their 15-game winning streak come to a close in a road loss to the Hawks. As part of a three Vero hits, Jace Romans had a triple. Caleb Wood added a hit and an RBI. Garett Srigley scored twice and stole three bases.

Cody Morgan took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits and a walk. He struck out one through five innings.

Cardinal Newman (19-5-1) 2, South Fork (12-11) 0: Curtis Vining collected the hit for the Bulldogs, who had four walks and four stolen bases.

Quinn Sanderson took the loss on the bump despite a solid effort. The senior allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts through five innings.

Fort Pierce Central (10-11) 11, Fort Pierce Westwood (9-11) 1 (F/6): Nolan Barnes had an RBI for the Panthers. Jaylyn Monds added a double.

Melbourne Central Catholic (17-7) 9, Sebastian River (7-13) 2

Monday

Softball

South Fork (9-6) 14, Treasure Coast (10-13) 7: Piling up 21 hits, the Bulldogs tied their season-high with 14 runs in a convincing win over the Titans. South Fork also scored 14 runs when they shut out Treasure Coast on Feb 21.

Elli Hernandez led the Bulldogs hit parade, as the sophomore hit for the cycle. She drove in three runs and scored three times. Rachel Kramer added two triples while Abigail Tango added a triple and a double.

Savannah McMichael had a home run for the Titans.

St. Lucie West Centennial (15-7) 18, Fort Pierce Central (4-14) 0 (F/5): The Eagles totaled 12 hits and eight walks in a run-rule win over the Cobras.

Keyhara Alleyne was one of three players to score three times and one of four players to produce two hits. The senior had a double and a triple to go with a team-best three RBIs. Hailey Brereton (3 BB, 2B, 3 R) drove in a pair, as did Kylie Cobolentz (2 H, 2 R, 2 SB).

Brereton was also dominant in the circle, as the junior struck out 13 in a five-inning no-hitter.

Morningside Academy (12-7) 14, Bureau Christian (9-6) 2 (F/5): Leigha Race relinquished just two runs on two hits and four walks with nine strikeouts through five innings to collect the win in the circle.

She had plenty of support, as the Eagles produced 11 hits and eight walks.

Race helped her own cause at the plate with a home run. Morgan Helphrey also went deep. Both drove in three runs. Trinity Richards had a team-best three hits.

Jupiter (12-5) 14, Vero Beach (10-11-1) 2 (F/5): Emma Youngblood and Gabrielle Espich each had a double for the Indians. Espich also had an RBI.
