SCOREBOARD: Greater Taunton high school football Week 9 scores and highlights

TAUNTON— It's the first week of playoff and non-playoff high school football action in the Greater Taunton area.

Last week, Taunton (5-3, 2-2 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) extended their winning streak to three Friday with a 28-6 victory over Attleboro. Bridgewater-Raynham (1-7, 1-1 Southeast Conference) fell 21-6 to Shrewsbury and Dighton-Rehoboth (2-6, 0-4 South Coast Blue) narrowly fell to Greater New Bedford, 24-21.

On Saturday, playing in their annual Homecoming game, Bristol-Plymouth (2-6, 0-3 Mayflower Large) fell 7-0 to Southeastern.

This week, No. 9 Taunton is traveling to No. 8 BC High in the Division 1 Round of 16. In non-playoff action, Bridgewater-Raynham travels to Quincy while Bristol-Plymouth hosts Nantucket. Dighton-Rehoboth elected to take a bye week.

The Tigers (5-4, 2-2 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) fell flat against the Eagles in the Division 1 Round of 16. Sophomore quarterback Dylan Keenan connected with senior Dmitrius Shearrion for an 83 yard touchdown reception and with senior wide receiver Malakai Mchady for a two-point conversion pass.

On defense, senior defensive back Jose Touron recovered a fumble.

Propelled by four running touchdowns, the Trojans (2-7, 1-1 SEC) cruised to a non-playoff win on the road against the Presidents.

The Craftsmen (3-6, 0-3 Mayflower Large) snapped a four game losing skid with a non-playoff win over the Whalers. Senior quarterback Ryan Donovan went 2-of-2 passing for nine yards and had 18 carries for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Sophomore running back Thaniel LaBrie had nine carries for 63 yards a touchdown.

On defense, sophomore defensive back Jordan Finni and senior linebacker Tommy Thayer each recorded an interception.
