The Mystery Gang are heading to Netflix!
According to Deadline, Scooby-Doo! The Live-Action Series is nearing a deal at the streamer with a script-to-series commitment.
While cast and plot details are being kept under wraps for the time being, it has been confirmed that the latest live-action adaptation of the beloved cartoon will be written by Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg.

Appelbaum and Scott will also executive produce the series alongside André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman.
The Mystery Gang – aka Fred, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Scooby-Doo – were first introduced in the 1969 animated series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, which was created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears.
The series has since spawned numerous reboots and spin-offs, as well as two live-action films in 2002 and 2004 starring Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini.

Velma, the franchise’s latest spin-off executive produced by and starring Mindy Kaling, recently returned to Max for its second season.
The first season officially made Velma a member of the LGBTQ+ community, which came after years of debates over the character’s sexuality.
Previously speaking about Velma's queerness finally being canon, Kaling said: "I work on a couple of other shows about young women, and it just felt like this gift to explore, knowing that there's all these expectations for the character.
"It was for this reason why it really felt worthy to do an origin story of her."
Scooby-Doo! The Live Action Series does not yet have a release date. Velma streams on Max in the US.
