Fort Worth, TCU cancel school for Tuesday. Here are latest closings for Tarrant County

Fort Worth ISD, TCU and multiple other North Texas school districts are canceling classes on Tuesday. Below is what we know so far about Tarrant County-area announced closings or delays. Check back here for live updates as we receive them.

Aledo: OPEN on Tuesday. “Sunshine has helped local roads to clear for safe travel tomorrow in Aledo ISD! We will have a regular school schedule Tues 1/16. It will be cold throughout the day & especially tomorrow a.m. at bus stops & during morning arrival so bundle up & stay safe, Bearcats!”

Arlington: CLOSED on Tuesday. This closure also includes all after-school activities..

Azle: There was no Tuesday closure announcement.

Birdville: OPEN on Tuesday.

Burleson: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Carroll: OPEN on Tuesday.

Castleberry: In the event of a delay or closure due to weather, the district will communicate this information by following the emergency procedure outlined on their website. Parents should continue to check the district website, social media sites and Canvas for updates. Crowley: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Dallas ISD: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Dallas College: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Eagle Mountain-Saginaw: OPEN on Tuesday. Buses will run normal routes.

Everman: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Fort Worth: CLOSED on Tuesday. Extracurricular activities Tuesday are canceled. No make-up days will be required. Only district employees designated to work on weather-related or other critical matters will be authorized to work. All other employees will not be required to work.

Godley: OPEN on Tuesday

Grand Prairie: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Great Hearts Texas: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Grapevine-Colleyville: TWO-HOUR DELAY on Tuesday.

Hurst-Euless-Bedford: CLOSED on Tuesday. After-school and evening activities will be evaluated based on current conditions.

Keller: CLOSED on Tuesday. Extracurricular activities including sports and arts are also canceled.

Kennedale: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Lake Worth: CLOSED on Tuesday.

Mansfield: CLOSED on Tuesday. All extracurricular activities are canceled. Additional changes to the school schedule will be decided on a day-to-day basis and communicated on all MISD channels.

Northwest: OPEN on Tuesday.

Tarrant County College: OPEN on Tuesday. “All TCC campuses will open at normal hours tomorrow, January 16. Dual enrollment students from closed schools should monitor Canvas for coursework from TCC instructors.”

TCU: CLOSED. “Due to inclement weather, TCU’s campus is closed and all classes are canceled on Tuesday, January 16. Student services including dining and move-in will continue.”

University of North Texas: OPEN on Tuesday.

University of Texas at Arlington: Campus opens at 10 a.m. for employees. Classes resume at 11 a.m. Any classes scheduled before 11 are canceled.

White Settlement: CLOSED on Tuesday “due to the extreme cold temperatures, wind chill and potential for hazardous road conditions.
