School budget results are in for the Binghamton area: Who won seats, what was approved
Southern Tier residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on proposed school district budgets for 2024-25.
In addition the budget, voters weighed in on the purchase of new school buses and capital projects in their districts. They also decided races for board of education candidates.

Afton Central School District
The proposed school budget for Afton Central School District passed with 146 to 91 votes
School bus resolution passed with 132 to 105 votes

Binghamton School District
Binghamton school district voters passed the $150,961,791 proposed budget, with 879 to 304 votes
Elected school board members: Steve Seepersaud, Mary Ann Callhan and Shaunte Middleton
Candor Central School District
Voters passed the $21,401,620 budget for Candor CSD (number of votes not yet provided)
The bus purchase proposition passed

Delaware Academy Central School District
The proposed budget for Delaware Academy CSD passed with 193 to 48 votes

Voters passed the $19,239,581 budget for Deposit CSD with 158 to 27 votes

Voters passed the $32,084,906 budget with 111 to 68 votes
The transportation proposition for two school buses, one van and one SUV totaling $413,182 passed with 127 to 51 votes

Harpursville Central School District
The proposed budget for Harpursville School District passed with 125 to 22 votes
The bus proposition was passed with 119 to 27 votes

Johnson City School District
Voters passed the $72.5 million budget, with 324 to 188 votes
The purchase of one 57-passenger wheelchair-accessible and two 66-passenger electric buses passed, with 314 to 202 votes

Newark Valley Central School District
The budget for Newark Valley CSD passed with 179 to 119 votes

Voters passed the $105 million proposed budget, with 1,322 to 384 votes
