Boys basketball: Mount Vernon gets an important league win at Scarsdale

The level of scoreboard watching across Section 1 is on the rise this week as teams start thinking ahead to the playoffs.

Greenburgh-North Castle and Tuckahoe will be participating in the Pride on the Court game at Sarah Lawrence. Proceeds will go to the Loft Community Center. Scarsdale is playing Mount Vernon twice in the coming days and will then participate in the Public vs. Catholic Hoops Showdown on Saturday at the County Center. Stepinac and Iona Prep will be there, as well. It's going to be a test of endurance for the Crusaders and Gaels who also have league games on Friday and Sunday.
