Saweetie Channels the Flintstones in Puzzling Pink Red Carpet Dress
Saweetie has seemingly become an honorary cast member of The Flintstones, judging by the look of her VMAs outfit.
While arriving at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for the 2023 MTV VMAs on Tuesday, Sept. 12, the 30-year-old rapper channeled the beloved Flintstone family while sporting a large bone attached to the top of her dress.
Saweetie posed with the bone framing her face, with one end reaching up toward her ear and the other laying across her collar bone. She even appeared to be turning her head to lick the bone in some of the red carpet photos.

The rest of the garment, a sparkling pink halter-dress, also featured cutouts at the waist, where another bone tied the look together.
The "Best Friend" songstress completed her look with open-toed sequin heels, long silver and pink nails and silver hoop earrings. Her makeup also matched the hue of her dress, with pink eyeshadow shades donning her eyelids.
The red carpet ensemble certainly prompted a mixed reaction from fans, with one follower noting on X (previously known as Twitter), "Tf is this flintstone mess?"
Another chimed in, "Now where saweetie get them dinosaur bones from? the dress is cute, but the bones are distracting me."
Nonetheless, a third defended, "Saweetie looks beautiful."

Saweetie–who hosted the MTV pre-show before the evening's big event—was previously announced as one of the awards show's big presenters.
This year's show–hosted by Nicki Minaj–also teased an impressive lineup of performers, including Demi Lovato, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsea Ballerini, Olivia Rodrigo and many more.
