Savannah Guthrie Posts Adorable Tribute to ‘TODAY’ Cohosts: ‘That Friday Feeling’
Savannah Guthrie posted an adorable set of photos this morning to Instagram in tribute to fellow TODAY cohosts.
Guthrie continues to shut down rumors of a feud between herself and cohost Hoda Kotb.
“That Friday feeling,” She captioned the series of pictures.
The weekend is almost here, and Savannah Guthrie is celebrating the best way she knows how: with a tribute to her work family. The 50-year-old posted a series of photos to Instagram Friday morning looking happy alongside her cohosts and fans couldn’t get enough of the pics.
Guthrie offered followers a sneak peek at what life at TODAY is really like with the photos. The series of images featured Guthrie with cohost Hoda Kotb, one of Guthrie standing outside in Rockefeller Center, and finally, one of the five TODAY cohosts on air. “That Friday Feeling,” she captioned the post.
Fans loved Guthrie’s tribute. “What a bunch !!” one fan commented. Another fan was all too excited for the upcoming holiday weekend, commenting “HAPPIEST HALLOWEEN WEEKEND to ALL.”
Despite tabloids trying to drum up drama between Guthrie, and cohost Hoda Kotb, the pair have repeatedly shut down the rumors by consistently showing their support for one another. This recent post from Guthrie only further proves that the cohosts and friends are continuing to celebrate their partnership amid all of the noise.
Guthrie has never shied away from being transparent with her fans about her life and work—and she’s known to be candid when it comes to her own life outside of the world of daytime television.
She recently joined Drew Barrymore on the star’s talk show and both women shared fond memories of being “make-out bandits” in their younger years. Guthrie divulged that in her rebellious teenage years, “I didn’t need New Year's Eve to kiss strangers when I was young…I did not need an occasion to make out.”
Guthrie has also built a reputation for honesty and filter-free selfies on social media. Earlier this year, the TODAY cohost shared her most recent “chopped!” hair cut in a makeup-free selfie, where fans flooded the comments section with affirming compliments: “You always look beautiful. Sometimes we just need a change! 😉”, “No makeup and still STUNNING ✨,” “Love that you are so natural and comfortable in your skin. Real works on you!”
Along with her transparency about her formative years and her filter-free photos, Guthrie has been very open about her outlook on aging. Only earlier this year, Guthrie responded to an internet troll who told her she looked “so old.” In response, the TODAY cohost simply clapped back with the comment “I’ve aged!”
This isn’t the first time the star has been vocal about aging. “I’m like anyone—when I see a picture where my wrinkles are apparent, I don’t love looking at that, and I’ll try to put the good Instagram filter on there to make it look better…But I’m not going to not put the picture up,” she’s said in the past.
It’s refreshing to know that Guthrie is taking all of us along on her aging journey, as well as putting tabloid rumors to rest by celebrating her TODAY team. We can’t wait to see what Guthrie shares with us next!
