Savannah Chrisley Addresses Rumor Mom Julie Plans to Divorce Dad Todd Amid Incarceration

Savannah Chrisley is calling out rumors in the media about her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, and their relationship as they serve out their prison sentences.

One rumor that was reported by the media recently was that Julie was "hiring counsel to file for divorce" from Todd. Savannah addressed the rumor head-on, declaring it a "lie."

Speaking to the public in an Instagram Story posted on Monday, Sept. 18, Savannah said, "No, my mother has not hired counsel. If she did, it would have gone through me. So, that whole story is a lie."

She also noted that she didn't want to address the rumor at all, but she believed that the publications putting out these "lies" should be "held accountable."

Savannah also shared what happened during her most recent visit to Julie in prison, saying, "I just sat with my mother at visitation this weekend and she cried about how much she missed my father."

The 26-year-old, who continues to give updates on her parents throughout their sentence, went on, "It's just unfortunate that we live in a world that wants to tear families apart and wants to spew hate and lies. And it's just absolutely insane."

Recently, Savannah noted that Julie and Todd were "struggling" in prison, telling E! News, "Mentally, it's a hard place to be at. You do the same things over and over and over again, every single day."

Todd and Julie were originally sentenced to 12 and 8 years in prison, respectively, for tax fraud, with Todd serving at Florida's FPC Pensacola, while his wife is at Kentucky's FMC Lexington.

The two's release dates recently got moved up due to good behavior. Todd will now be released on January 22, 2033, while Julie will be out on October 19, 2028.
