Saturday roundup: It was a good day for Perry County on the diamonds.

THORNVILLE — A.J. Winders cracked a leadoff homer to lead Sheridan to an 8-0 win against visiting Logan in a nonleague win on Saturday.

Caden Sheridan added a double and two singles and Shawn Griffey singled with three RBIs as Sheridan improved to 17-2. Brody White added a two-run single.

Coyle Withrow tossed five innings with six strikeouts to earn the win.

Crooksville 10, Rosecrans 8: Kam Savage and Brady Cottrell combined for six hits and six RBIs for the Ceramics, who scored seven times in the seventh inning in a comeback win at Gant Municipal Stadium.

Cottrell had three singles with four RBIs and Savage three singles with two RBIs as Crooksville (3-12) came back from a 7-3 deficit after six innings. Gavin Mount doubled and singled and Eli Sprankled doubled with two RBIs.

Mikey Burkhart doubled and singled and Preston Farrell had two singles for Rosecrans (11-5), which had seven players collect hits and six drive in runs.

Parker Addington earned the win in 2 2/3 innings of relief. Brendan Bernath took the loss in relief, as Bishop pitchers walked seven and were victimized by four errors.

Caldwell 10, Coshocton 0 (5 inn.): The Redskins managed only one hit off the combination of J.R. Curry and Izic Cool in a nonleague mercy on the road.

Coshocton was haunted by five errors that led to seven unearned runs. Seven players had hits as Caldwell (12-6) scored six times in the fourth inning after scoring three times in the first three.

Bentley Cunningham had the lone hit for Coshocton, which travels to Morgan on Monday. Gage Wright pitched 2 1/3 innings to take the loss, allowing two earned runs.

Garaway 14, John Glenn 4 (6 inn.): The Muskies led 2-0 after two innings but struggled down the stretch in a nonleague loss at home.

Zach Misko hit a homer and also doubled to pace Garaway (11-6), which scored all of its runs in the final four innings. Payton Keller drove in four runs with a double and two singles and Gabe Amicone had two doubles.

Roman Gallitz cracked a two-run homer and drove in three for John Glenn (4-12), which had four hits. Wesley Woodard added a double.

Riley Lake took the loss.

Buckeye Trail 10, Conotton Valley 3: The Warriors stayed perfect in Inter-Valley Conference at 6-0 with the victory over the Rockets on Saturday.

Trail banged out 11 hits with junior Mason McQuain leading the way with a 3-for-4 day with three singles and three RBIs. Sammy Brown tripled, singled with an RBI, while sophomore Tyler Harrell collected a pair of base hits. Sam Wayble ripped an RBI double, with senior Cale Gazda and Jackson Hoop each added RBI base hits for the Warriors (9-4).

Harrell picked up the win on the mound with a six inning outing, allowing three runs on five hits with nine strikeouts and five walks.

Softball

Sheridan 6, Logan 1: Sophomore Megan Ranck fired a five-hitter and senior Avery Mueller launched a pair of homers for the Generals (16-3) in a nonleague tilt in Hocking County.

Mueller's two-run blast in the fourth broke a scoreless tie, and she added a solo shot in the sixth to make it 3-0.

Logan pulled within 3-1 in the sixth, but Ranck doubled in a run and Addison Grosse followed with a two-run homer to blow it open. Sheridan won its 10th straight game.

Ranck finished with two doubles, Mueller added a single and Hailey Mueller doubled and singled; Payton Powell had doubled and Brooke Cadigan singled twice.

Philo 15, 10, River View 5, River View 4: The Electrics piled up 29 hits in a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Lady Bears in a Muskingum Valley League-Big School Division game in Duncan Falls.

Caitlin Rose drove in five runs on a homer, double and single and Megan Tom had three singles in Game 1, when Philo scored eight times in the first two innings in a mercy. Olivia Winland added a double; Kyleigh McGraw picked up the win.

Addy Blair drove in two runs with two singles and Kylie Dobson doubled for River View.

Cassidy Himes yielded two earned runs in a complete game in the nightcap; Caitlin Rose tripled, doubled and singled twice to pace the offense.

Olivia Winland drove in two runs with a double, Bri Wolfe doubled and singled and Kassydi Harris singled twice; Karlee Southall tripled.

Blair drove in three runs with two singles for River View, which trailed 9-0 after four innings. Hallie Wallace and Raelee McPeak had two singles and Bridgette Bible a double.

Crooksville 14, 24, Johnstown Northridge 4, 7: Dalena Rollison and Mylin Driggs slugged homers in the opener and Rollison drove in five runs in the nightcap in the visiting Ceramics' sweep.

The Ceramics had five extra-base hits in the first game, including doubles from Brynn Lundell, Gracie Peck and Driggs.

Rollison drove in three runs, while Peck went the distance to get the win. Crooksville scored 13 times in the final two innings to overcome a 2-1 deficit.

Crooksville (11-8) scored 13 times in the third innings in another mercy in Game 2, as Rollison and Lundell combined for six hits and 11 RBIs and Driggs three hits and two RBIs.

Rollison hit another homer and also doubled, while Lundell doubled and tripled and Driggs doubled and singled twice. Rylee Chamberlin doubled and singled and drove in two.

Rollison pitched a complete game to get the win, allowing five earned runs with five strikeouts.

Gnadenhutten Indian Valley 12, John Glenn 11 (8 inn.): Sydney Marshall cranked two homers and struck out five, but the host Muskies saw their comeback fall short in a nonleague game in New Concord.

Indian Valley led 8-0 after two innings, but John Glenn rallied to take a 9-8 lead after scoring six times in the sixth. The Braves tied the game in the seventh, then scored three times in the eighth to take the lead for good.

Marshall's second homer got the Muskies within a run in the final frame, but a flyout ended the game.

Ava Miller added two singles and Libby Brown a two-run double for John Glenn, which had 12 hits. Sarah Wayne, who pitched 3 1/3 innings of relief, took the loss.

Coshocton 11, 12, Berne Union 0, 7: The Lady Skins picked up a sweep on their home field against the Rockets behind a potent offense.

Mallorie Stamper tripled with two singles in the opener and Courtney Snyder added three RBIs on a triple and single, while Savannah Gambill chipped in two singles.

Berne Union built a 5-1 lead in the third inning in the nightcap, but Jazlene Brown's homer and double with four RBIs fueled a frenetic comeback that featured six runs in the third inning.

Stamper added three singles, Jaeli Tiedt tripled and stole three bases and Gambill tossed four scoreless innings to record the win.
