Following the heartbreak of losing her partner of eight years, Sandra Bullock has stepped out publicly for the first time since Bryan Randall's death.

The Bird Box actress was spotted with her daughter on Thursday, Oct. 26. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Bullock, 59, and Laila, 11, walk hand-in-hand in Los Angeles. "It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS," his family told People in a statement. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request."

They continued: "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan."

In addition to Laila, Randall also helped parent Bullock's son, Louis, 13, and his daughter from a previous relationship.

Bullock spoke about her and Randall's connection during a December 2021 appearance on Red Table Talk.

"I found the love of my life. We share two beautiful children—three children, [Randall's] older daughter. It's the best thing ever," Bullock said on the show.

Although Randall and Bullock were not legally married, the couple reportedly "exchanged vows" with "no officiant" in the Bahamas in December 2017, the Daily Mail previously reported.

"I don't wanna say do it like I do it, but I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother," Bullock said on Red Table Talk."
