Sammi and Ronnie filming with the 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' cast in Arizona
Sammi and Ronnie are filming together.
Sammi Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, the two intertwined stars of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” were filmed with the rest of the cast by show producers at the Charro Steak and del Rey restaurant in Tucson, Arizona, on Monday, Nov. 6, according to social media postings.
There are videos of the cast inside the restaurant and exiting. Sammi is with new boyfriend Justin May, and Ronnie is holding a bag of luggage in videos of the cast exiting the restaurant.
“Ronnie and his baggage are here!” quipped a fan on Reddit.
Ronnie stepped away from the show in the spring of 2021 after a string of domestic violence incidents and arrests, although he has been back intermittently since then.
Sammi opted out of the “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” reboot in 2018 as she wanted to “avoid potentially toxic situations” with Ronnie, her ex-boyfriend, whose rocky romance was depicted on the original Seaside Heights run of the show from 2009 to 2012.
Sammi returned for the current season, but it is unknown if she knew Ronnie would return.
“I literally can’t believe Ron is there with sam omg,” commented another fan on Reddit.
“Awkward,” chimed in another.
Sammi suggested that she's open to co-existing with Ronnie on the Nov. 2 episode after previously expressing reservations about appearing with him in front of the cameras.
“I mean, I can co-exist,” Sammi said. “I mean, I'm at a different place in my life.”

Justin made the trip with Sammi and the cast in April to the Margaritaville resort in Orlando, Florida, where the episode took place.
“I don't feel awkward if you're friends with him,” said Sammi to the cast on Nov. 2. “I dated many people. I was engaged to somebody else. My life has moved on.”
Other cast members said they were not happy about Ronnie's domestic violence arrests because they feared for the future of the show on the Oct. 19 episode.
“When he had to step away, it could have went the other way. They could have made us all step away,” said Pauly DelVecchio.
“I actually thought that was going to happen,” said Jenni “JWoww” Farley.
A request for comment on the Tuscan filming was not replied to by MTV reps.
There are two more episodes left of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” Season 7 on MTV. The filming in Tucson will likely air on potential Season 8.
