A Myrtle Beach restaurant whose fate was unclear for the past few months has officially closed.

Sam Snead’s, located at 1004 Glenforest Road in Carolina Forest, officially closed on April 2, according to a sign posted on the door. The sign indicated that the location will be closed permanently.

“We’d like to thank everyone for their patronage for the past ten years,” it reads.

Crews were spotted removing furniture and items from the restaurant on Sunday.

The franchise, named after famous golfer Sam Snead, has locations in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia and in Canada, according to its website.

The restaurant was decorated with golf memorabilia, which highlights the golf career of Snead.
