Salma Hayek’s Shredded Gown Mixes Business With Pleasure
Can anyone make businesswear look as fabulous as Salma Hayek does?
The House of Gucci star made a striking appearance in New York City yesterday while heading to the set of Good Morning America. For the occasion, Hayek delivered a style 101 on how to mix business with pleasure.
She opted for an all-black monochromatic moment. It consisted of a sleek black single-breasted blazer layered atop a black dress. From the mid-thigh down, the dress featured thick strands of shredded fringe, which moved animatedly as Hayek strutted down the sidewalk. She upped the ante with her footwear, stepping out in black satin mules with a sky-high platform and towering heels. Accessories included black rectangular sunglasses, a gold oval pendant necklace, and a large black hourglass Balenciaga bag.
Hayek later posted some behind-the-scenes photos and videos of her full look to Instagram, including a clip of her dancing on the set of GMA.
“What a morning at @goodmorningamerica! Always so much fun!” she wrote in the caption.
Hayek’s business chic look isn’t the only glamorous ensemble she’s worn recently.
Late last month, the actor continued to prove her fashion prowess at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. There, she wore a glittering Balenciaga gown covered in nearly two million hand-embroidered black sequins. The dress also featured structured shoulder pads, a ruffled trim, a black velvet belt tied into a bow at the waist, and a plunging neckline. She accessorized with luxurious Gucci jewelry, including diamond stud earrings and diamond rings.
Hayek also turned heads earlier in May at the 2023 Met Gala, where she walked the carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a red-hot Gucci ball gown with a glossy bustier, off-the-shoulder pearl straps, and a tiered ruffled skirt with a see-through lacy underlay.
