Sally Field Absolutely Lost It on Andrew Garfield After He Crashed Her Interview for Epic Reason

Ever since Sally Field and Andrew Garfield worked together on The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, fans love to see them get together at Hollywood events. Given how the two continue to have a close friendship, folks couldn’t believe it when the Mrs. Doubtfire actor did something that even shocked her former costar.
After receiving the Lifetime Achievement award during the 2023 SAG Awards ceremony in February, Sally made her way into the press room to talk about her career milestone with Entertainment Tonight. As she answered questions about watching Andrew honor her work in the acting industry, the man himself suddenly appeared to check on her during the interview. While he just wanted to make sure she was alright, Sally had a surprising reaction to the gesture.
"They're summoning me back in. Is it okay if I leave for a minute?" he told her while kissing her cheek. "No!" Sally replied, jokingly protesting his request in front of the camera. "He feels responsible for me."
Amid seeing Sally's visceral reaction, Andrew felt the need to back up his reason for taking care of her. As he explained, the duo have a mother-son like relationship that has kept growing off camera. Sally not only agreed with this, but she further elaborated on how their unique dynamic worked.

"We created a bond…it's a relationship that just continues," she told the outlet. "Then we see each other, he's like, 'Can I help you? Are you okay? You want to stay?'"
Seeing Sally and Andrew's rapport resonated with fans when a clip of the interaction quickly went viral on TikTok. What's more, they couldn't stop commenting about how sweet they were with one another.
"She's been in the business longer than he's been alive and he's taking care of her at industry functions. LOVE IT 🥰," one person wrote. "Sally is a legend, how could he not look out for her and [make] sure she's OK," another agreed. "Oh gosh I'm gonna cry; I love both of them and love to see they're still in touch ❤️❤️," a different user responded.
As for how Sally and Andrew fared amid their heartfelt encounter, the Tick Tick Boom! actor embraced her once more before heading back to the ceremony. But he made sure she was okay one last time, to which she yelled, "No, don't leave me!"
Needless to say, Andrew and Sally are Hollywood gems. And should they come face-to-face for a loving moment at another event, we're sure no one would mind it at all.
