Sacramento Kings fan favorite Trey Lyles puts his chic Los Angeles estate up for sale

After suffering a left calf injury during the NBA pre-season in October, Sacramento Kings fan favorite Trey Lyles has returned to his scorching hot 11-7 team and was welcomed back with open arms — from both his teammates and the die-hard fanbase.

Now, the Kentucky product has put his ultra chic Encino, California, estate on the real estate market for $5.9 million. And yes, it’s as slick as the power forward/center himself.

“Escape to luxury in Encino, where every detail has been meticulously crafted to create a residence that transcends the ordinary and embodies the epitome of modern elegance,” the listing on Forbes says. “Welcome to 4778 Zelzah Avenue, the epitome of indoor/outdoor living. Inside the stunning contemporary façade is a home with custom woodwork, curated finishes, and an exceptional ensemble of amenities.”

The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 5,853-square-foot work of art is referred to as an “entertainer’s dream” and proves it with its brilliant blend of modern sleekness and timeless decor.

Standout features include:

  • Screening room

  • Office

  • Guest rooms

  • Large kitchen

  • Fireplace

  • Deck

  • Infinity pool/spa

  • Waterfall feature

  • Fire pit

  • Sports court

  • Putting green

  • Summer kitchen

Agent Kate Newton, who holds the listing with Hilton & Hyland, notes that while the home is certainly luxurious, it also has a welcoming vibe that flows through its high ceilings and open-floor plan.

The house is certainly chic but it also has a warm feeling. It’s got beautiful woodwork throughout. There are fireplaces all over,” Newton told Forbes.

Since returning to the court, Lyles has been averaging 8.2 points and six rebounds per game. The former Wildcat was traded to the Kings in February 2022 by the Detroit Pistons and agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract over the summer during the first day of free agency.

Last season, I felt at home with the team, city and the fans,” Lyles told The Athletic prior to pre-season. “But I think it really set in once I signed back. This is the first time in my going-on-nine-year career that I’ve been able to stay in a city for longer than two years. It felt good. … So, that was really the moment it was — not a weight off my shoulders, but kind of a breath of fresh air.”

The forward also became engaged to his girlfriend over the summer, Angel City FC forward Katie Johnson. Angel City is a National Women’s Soccer League team based out of Los Angeles.
