Rylan Clark taking a break from his BBC Radio 2 show
Rylan Clark has announced that he is taking a bit of a break from his BBC Radio 2 show.
The X Factor contestant-turned-TV and radio host presents a show on the BBC station between 3pm and 6pm on Saturdays.
On his most recent instalment, Rylan told his listeners that he would be taking a few weeks off to "do some other bits and bobs".
"I just want to say whoever is looking after this seat for a fair few weeks, can you please make sure you look after Couch Potatoes?" he said.

He later added: "Well, listen, as I said, I'm gonna be off now for a fair few weeks, 'cause I've got some other bits that I need to do, and I will be back very very soon.
"But whoever's here, please look after 'em. Make sure you send in all your messages. Look after Simon – 'cause, y'know, he gets jealous when other people are in," he joked.
"Look after Lottie and Sal, look after Brendan and whoever else is working on the show, because I love 'em. I don't say it a lot, but I do, alright?"
Rylan's announcement came shortly after it was confirmed that Phillip Schofield had stepped down from presenting This Morning, with Holly Willoughby taking the next two weeks off.
Social media is full of speculation that Rylan could step up to present in the interim, although Phillip and Holly balanced Dancing on Ice on weekends with This Morning in the week, and it feels more like Rylan's time off would have been booked well in advance of the This Morning news.
We'll have to wait and see if he does turn up on the ITV show's sofa for the first time in years.
Earlier this year, Rylan announced that he had quit Strictly: It Takes Two, stating that he felt like four years hosting the show was enough for him.

Earlier this month, Rylan was a key part of the BBC's Eurovision presenting team and also launched a BBC Sounds podcast titled How to Be a Man, a series which sees him interview a host of celebrities and public figures and trace the "fault lines of modern masculinity".
The series aims to break down stereotypes and looks at role models and conversations about the topic in different cultures.
How to Be a Man is available to listen to on BBC Sounds now, and airs on Radio 4. A stand-in for his Radio 2 Saturday show has not been announced at the current time.
