Russia won't restrict work of foreign firms, PM nominee says

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia has no plans to restrict the work of foreign companies in its market, despite Western sanctions against Moscow, Mikhail Mishustin, President Vladimir Putin's nominee for prime minister, said on Friday.

Mishustin also told Russia's lower house of parliament that the government planned no restrictions on the businesses of Russian companies do abroad, as he presented his programme before a vote on his appointment.

Russia's government resigned automatically after Putin's inauguration on May 7, and he has nominated Mishustin, prime minister since 2020, to continue in the same position.
