Russell Wilson Reacts To The Seahawks’ Major Struggles

Russell Wilson is in serious danger of suffering the first losing season of his Seahawks career. The Seahawks are a bad team right now and they didn’t look any better against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Seattle could only manage 266 yards of offense in the 23-13 loss to Arizona. That marks five losses in Seattle’s last six games.

Wilson was only a part of the last two since his return from a finger injury, but the ever positive seven-time Pro Bowler told reporters “we can fix it.”

“We’ve got to be better. That’s the truth,” Wilson told the Seattle Times.

“The truth, too, is we are better than what we’ve been playing. And the truth is that we also believe in that we can be better as a collective group. And the truth is, we got seven games to go. And we’ll see what happens.”

3-7 is new territory for coach Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson, and the Seahawks.

Carroll reportedly answered questions about the teams struggles for eight minutes on Sunday before walking away, only to return and apologize for his early exit.

“I’m not prepared for this,” the 70-year-old coach said. “I’m struggling to do a good job of coaching when you’re getting your butt kicked week in and week out.”

Seattle has seen its share of defensive struggles since the evaporation of the “Legion of Boom,” but since Wilson’s ascension the Seahawks have rarely struggled to move the ball and put points on the board.

Russ and his team have an extra day to try to get it together this week. The Seahawks take on Washington next Monday Night.

If Wilson reportedly wanted out after a 12-4 season, one can only imagine how this circling of the drain could affect Russell’s future in Seattle.
