Who’s running for Idaho’s Legislative District 14? Hear from the candidates

Idaho voters in Gem County and western Ada County will determine the next state lawmakers for Legislative District 14 next month.

A total of seven candidates, who are mainly political newcomers, are vying to fill three seats in the district: senator and representative positions A and B. The only incumbent is Republican Sen. C. Scott Grow, of Eagle.

Grow, who seeks a third full term, will square off against two candidates during the Nov. 8 general election: Constitution Party candidate Kirsten Faith Richardson, of Letha, and Liberation Party candidate Robert Imhoff, of Eagle. Grow was appointed to the Senate seat in 2018 by former Gov. Butch Otter.

District 14 encompasses Eagle, Star and Emmett along with the entirety of Gem County.

Republican Ted Hill will compete against Democrat Crystal Ivie for House seat A, and Democrat Shelley Brock will go head-to-head against Republican Josh Tanner for House seat B.

The Idaho Statesman sent surveys to each of the candidates, and their responses are copied below, unedited. Imhoff didn’t respond to the survey.
