Rudy Giuliani ‘Masked Singer’ performance repulses Mika Brzezinski: ‘This is what people watch?’

Rudy Giuliani’s appearance on “The Masked Singer” repulsed “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski to the point of being told by co-host Joe Scarborough to “focus.”

Giuliani, whose law license was suspended after he attempted to overturn the 2020 election lost by his former client Donald Trump, appeared on the popular Fox show Wednesday night dressed in a furry costume and singing George Thorogood & the Destroyers 1982 song “Bad to the Bone.” The “Morning Joe” team — Brzezinski in particular — found it beyond bad.

“People watch that and they watch these people in these things trying to decipher their voices, like in the furry outfits? This is crazy!” she remarked. “This is what people watch?”

Scarborough, who is also Brzezinski’s husband, implored her “Honey, come on now.”

“This is what people watch?” she raged with Scarborough repeatedly saying “Let’s focus.”

But Brzezinski, who is the daughter of former President Jimmy Carter’s national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, couldn’t wrap her brain around what she was seeing.

“It says a lot actually — it actually explains so much,” she continued. “Got it.”

Still trying to calm his partner down, Scarborough said “Ms. Brzezinski, let’s focus here.”

Still seething, Brzezinski sat pursing her lips as Scarborough attempted to lower the temperature.

“I think the bigger story here is that you have a guy who was involved in a plot to overthrow a democracy and he was invited on a reality TV show,” Scarborough said.

He continued on that point, only to be interrupted by Brzezinski again, looking at the video, and asking “Is that a rooster outfit?”

An exacerbated Scarborough rolled his eyes and said under his breath “My God.”

“I’m just curious,” she asked.

“OK, again, just focus on American democracy,” Scarborough continued.

“I’m trying,” Brzezinski said.

That got a laugh from the show’s third panelist, Willie Geist, who had been staying mostly clear of the domestic squabble.

“Just focus on American democracy, we’ll worry about the outfits later,” Scarborough reasoned.

“I’m distracted,” his partner interjected.

While Brzezinski may have been upset about the idea of “The Masked Singer” overall, audiences saw judge Kim Jeong walk off the set in protest.

“I’m done,” he said.

Giuliani told viewers he’s a fan of the show and thought being a guest would be a lot of fun.

“I don’t get to have a lot of fun,” the former mayor said.

Giuliani was voted off the program, which according to Variety, drew poor ratings.
