Royal Family Includes Surprise Princess Diana Photo in King Charles’s 75th Birthday Tribute (and You Probably Missed it)

The royal family is taking a walk down memory lane in honor of King Charles’s 75th birthday.

Today, the royals shared a video on the family’s official Instagram page to celebrate the monarch’s big day. The clip featured a photo timeline of the past 75 years and even included a surprise appearance by Princess Diana.

The video begins with an animated cover that reads, “Happy birthday Your Majesty.” The clip goes on to mimic a digital scrapbook and shows one photo for each year, beginning with his birth in 1948.

Not only does it include rare pictures of Queen Elizabeth, Prince William and Prince Harry, but it also features a cameo by Princess Diana.

The caption included a crown emoji and a birthday cake emoji, followed by a special message: “Wishing His Majesty The King a happy 75th birthday.”

Per Hello! magazine, King Charles will celebrate his birthday with a reception at Buckingham Palace. Then, he and his wife, Queen Camilla, will enjoy dinner with close members of the royal family. The guest list will presumably include Princess Anne, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Sadly, Prince Harry didn’t fly across the pond to celebrate his dad’s birthday. This shouldn’t come as a surprise because the Duke of Sussex, 39, previously released a statement after rumors surfaced claiming that Prince Harry had denied an invitation to King Charles’s birthday party. According to the rep, Prince Harry didn’t deny an invitation to the monarch’s birthday because he was never invited. (#Ouch)

Cheers to another year!
