Royal band plays Blackpink hit outside Buckingham Palace as K-pop stars receive MBEs

Soldiers played a Blackpink song outside Buckingham Palace as the K-pop band received honorary MBEs on Wednesday, 22 November.

Footage shows musicians performing "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" by the gates of the royal residence.

King Charles III presented honorary MBEs to the band at the palace in the presence of South Korea’s president and first lady.

The special investiture for Jennie Kim, Jisoo Kim, Lisa Manobal and Rose Park was in recognition of the band’s role as advocates for the Cop26 Summit in Glasgow.
