‘The Rookie’ Star Nathan Fillion Applauded a Fan's "Classy Moves" on Instagram

Sometimes, the most impressionable move a person could make when recognizing a celebrity is... not acknowledging them? Nathan Fillion found himself in this position, and he let all his social media followers know about the sweet fan interaction that didn't require speaking at all.
The Rookie star was recently on a flight and a fan named Alyssa recognized him onboard. Rather than come up to Nathan and start a conversation on the plane, she decided to do something unexpected. She found a piece of paper and wrote a note acknowledging his presence without drawing any unwanted attention.
"I didn't want to out you, but wanted to say that you were fantastic as Captain Hammer," the note read, referencing his role in the 2008 miniseries Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. "Respectfully, Alyssa."
After the Castle alum experienced the thoughtful gesture on the plane, he applauded Alyssa for giving him the space to travel peacefully while also recognizing him for his work. "Classy moves, Alyssa. Classy moves," Nathan captioned a photo of the sweet note on Instagram on March 10.
When Nathan's Rookie co-stars saw how Nathan took the time to laud Alyssa for her choice, they also shared their thoughts on the incredible interaction.
"Haha! 😂," Mekia Cox wrote in the Instagram comments. "Wait this is incredible. How classy Alyssa! 👏," Jenna Dewan added.
Fans were equally touched by the display as well. "How wonderful to show you how much they enjoy your craft but also wanted to be discreet and be respectful by not calling too much attention to you. Outstanding 😊😊👍👍," one person penned. "Full class from Alyssa, and smart move sharing to encourage more people to do this rather than mob their heroes," another agreed.
While it's unclear how Alyssa reacted to Nathan sharing her handwritten note on social media, we know she's likely thrilled to see how much it meant to him. Now, maybe he should get her on an episode of The Rookie as another way to thank her!
