Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. had to clarify some comments about Freddie Freeman after there was an Instagram Live incident.

During the video, he was on with journalist Yancen Pujols and said that he wasn’t close with Freeman. He also confirmed that there were a lot of clashes between the two.

He then spoke with the media on Thursday and said that he was speaking about what happened in 2018 when he was a rookie. He also said that they had a normal relationship.

“I think the reporters exaggerated,” Acuna said. ‘I didn’t say anything bad about Freeman. I talked about what happened in 2018 when I came up as a rookie. The rest was blown out of proportion. We had a normal relationship. We were normal teammates. As I said before, the only thing I talked about was what happened in 2018. The rest of that was exaggerated.”

Freeman ended up not signing back with the Braves when the MLB lockout was lifted. He signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as they look to be all-in again.

Acuna Jr. will now turn his focus to helping the Braves go back-to-back after they won the World Series over the Astros this past season.
