A 'Rogers: The Musical' Cast Album Is Coming

Marvel fans, listen up. If you were unable to catch Rogers: The Musical during its limited run at Disney California Adventure Park this summer, then we have some news you're going to love. The cast recording album will be released Friday, Sept. 15,  on digital retailers and streaming services, according to Billboard.

Marvel fans were first introduced to Rogers: The Musical in Disney+'s Hawkeye series back in 2021. The fictional Broadway musical was brought to life this year at Disney California Adventure Park as part of the Disney100 celebration at Disneyland Resort.

The live theater production about the life of Steve Rogers aka Captain America opened at the Hyperion Theater on June 30 and sadly closed on Aug. 31. The one-act musical featured the fan-favorite song “Save the City" from Hawkeye and "Star-Spangled Man” from Captain America: The First Avenger, as well as original songs.

“And the fact that we get to span 70 years and do everything from ‘40s-style big band jazz to a singer/songwriter style pop tune and obviously the Nick Fury patter song meets ‘Uptown Funk’—it’s the idea of giving everyone something that they can grab onto and really feel like it’s part of their story too," Lennertz added.

Following the news that the cast album will be released, Lennertz wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Friday!!! Thanks to all the fans for being so patient. Wait till you hear this amazing cast and ridiculous band do their thing! We truly hope you have as much fun listening to it as we had making it!"
