A-Rod finds an autograph girlfriend J.Lo gave him 20 years ago: 'When a big time global pop superstar signed a pic for a young ball player'
Jennifer Lopez has long had a fan in Alex Rodriguez.
While cleaning out some things in storage recently, A-Rod found quite the treasure — an autographed black-and-white headshot that J.Lo, now his girlfriend, gave him nearly 20 years ago. Proud of his find, he shared it on Instagram. “When a big time global pop superstar signed a pic for a young ball player,” the former Yankee wrote, along with the hashtag “life can be a funny thing some times.” Lopez first replied with, “Omg!! Who found that!!???” and then reposted it.

Since Lopez and Rodriguez started dating in early 2017, old photos of them seemingly meeting for the first time have been uncovered. They were taken at a 2005 game when Lopez’s third husband, Marc Anthony, threw out the first pitch during a Yankees-Mets Subway Series.
There were even pictured shaking hands.
The autographed photo was probably from 2001 or after — that was the year she released her first album, J.Lo, through Epic Records. That was also the year Lopez married her second husband, Criss Judd. A year later, Rodriguez got married too.
A chance meeting in Beverly Hills in 2017 reconnected them. She saw him and tapped him on the shoulder. He called her that afternoon, and, both single, they had their first date a few nights later.
During their romance, which has run for a year and a half so far, Lopez and Rodriguez have seemed to be amazingly supportive of each other’s careers and other projects. They’ve also spent time blending their families, his two daughters and her twins. Presumably, all four are getting a kick out of this amazing relic.
