Rockford synchronized swimming team celebrates 60 years

The RPS 205 Valkyries are performing the team's 60th anniversary shows this week at Guilford High School.

This year's performance features a diverse cast of 22 girls, 8 guys, 4 emcees, 19 alumni and 37 future Valkyries from Rockford Public Schools.

The annual show kicked off Tuesday and will continue each night at 6 p.m. through Friday. The celebration wraps up with a 10 a.m. mini-show followed by a noon and a 5:00 p.m. show and a grand finale show at noon on Sunday.

Tickets are $8, and doors open 30 minutes before each show.
