Rock the Block continues to captivate fans in major ways. The latest season of the HGTV series hosted by Ty Pennington reigns as the network’s highest-rated series to date in 2024. The series drew in 13.6 million total viewers from the March 4 premiere date of season five to the finale on April 16. So, what does this good news mean for a season six renewal?
As of now, HGTV has yet to confirm the fate of the beloved series. Since the ratings solidify the show as a smash hit, we have high hopes. If the series is renewed for another season, it'll likely follow suit with previous season release dates. That means we may expect another season in March 2025, should it be renewed. For now, we can only keep our fingers crossed!
During season five, fans were able to watch returning teams as they competed to add the most value to waterfront homes in Treasure Island, Florida. With $250,000 and a six-week timeline, they got to work. Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb, the twins behind HGTV's Unsellable Houses, prevailed as the winners, meaning they won a street named in their honor (along with bragging rights!). That left the other power duos—Renovation Island's Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, Bargain Block's Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas, and Fix My Flip's Page Turner and Mitch Glew—with another loss.
Now that another friendly competition is in the books, we'll be keeping an eye out for any and all updates on a potential season six. In the meantime, we'll be catching up on and revisiting the best home renovation shows to watch right now.
