Rochester to see mild weekend weather with rain showers; week ends with dry skies

The Rochester area will see mild weather this weekend as rain showers move in, while skies remain dry during the latter part of the workweek. High temperatures will hit the upper 40s on Thursday, with sunny skies before moving up to the lower 60s at the end of the week, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.

The weekend welcomes increasing temperatures, reaching into the 70s by Sunday, with rain showers forecast through Tuesday.

Rochester's weekend outlook

  • Saturday will have a high temperature of 64 degrees with gusts kicking up to 29 mph and mostly cloudy skies. Rain showers will set in starting around 1 p.m., NWS said.

  • Sunday's high temp will hit 77 degrees with a chance for showers. Winds will decrease to 15 mph.

  • Rochester remains in the upper 70s at the start of next week, with a chance of afternoon showers. Rain showers clear out Tuesday night but temperatures also start to decrease through midweek.
