Fundraising campaign raises over $15K for dog rescue

BARRINGTON — Two local businesses, Sandra McCarthy Photography and Golden Dog Adventure Co. successfully completed a yearlong collaboration and fundraising campaign to raise over $15,000 for Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption.

The result of this campaign was the creation and publication of a photo book - Pets of the 603 - that tells the story of rescue dogs and their families as well as all the heroes behind the scenes who work tirelessly to give rescue dogs a second chance at a forever home.

The campaign included five phases of fundraising which helped to exceed the original goal of $10,000. Tom Bergeron and Jodi Picoult donated their time for silent auction experience gifts.
