Road watch: What's on tap for the road commission this week?

The following projects are slated for the week by the St. Clair County Road Commission. All projects are weather dependent.

  • Casco/Ira Township – Bethuy Road at Marine City Highway will be under construction for intersection improvements. Bethuy will be a fully closed at the intersection, and Marine City Highway traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals. This project will begin the week of May 20 and continue through late June.

  • China Township – St. Clair Highway between King and Indian Trail will be closed to all traffic due to a crossroad culvert replacement project continuing through June 14.

  • Cottrellville Township – Arnold Road east of Starville is closed, and will remain closed until further notice. Closure is due to advancing deterioration of the culvert at the Beaubien Creek.

  • Lynn Township – Martin Road from Dudley to the county line will have intermittent lane closures due to tar and stone the week of May 27.

  • Port Huron Township – 32nd Street from I-69 to Griswold will be closed starting May 28, and continuing through May 30 for a culvert replacement project in the area.

  • Port Huron Township – 24th Street between Dove and Lapeer will have intermittent lane closures due to hot rubber application during the week of May 27.

  • Riley Township – Riley Center Road between Bordman and Burt will have intermittent lane closures for tar and stone the week of May 27.

  • City of St. Clair – M-29 from Clinton to Vine will have parking lane closures due to curb repair work throughout the week of May 27.
