Ringo Starr, 83, Recovers Smoothly After Falling On Stage

Ringo Starr is the latest famous performer to take a spill while on stage during a concert.

The former Beatles drummer was putting on a show with his His All-Starr Band in New Mexico on the night of Wednesday, Sept. 20, when he suffered a hard fall on stage at Rio Rancho Events Center in Albuquerque.

In a footage of the incident obtained by TMZ, Starr could be seen taking a small break on the side of the stage while his band played the encore, "Give Peace a Chance." When Starr ran back to join the rest of the performers, he tripped and fell face-first onto the floor.

But luckily, the 83-year-old music legend got right back up on his feet and continued on with the performance without missing a beat, proving that he is ever the professional performer.

After the song ended, Starr even cracked a joke about the fall while singing the song lyrics, "give peace a chance," and quipping to the audience, "I fell over just to tell you that."

But we already know that seeing a performer fall on stage happens all the time, and even the smoothest of singers sometimes lose their footing.

Just last month, Nick Jonas accidentally fell into a hole on stage during the Jonas Brothers' tour stop in Boston, where he was fortunately able to catch himself before the fall got any worse.

He recovered so well it almost looked "cool," one fan wrote on TikTok at the time, while someone else pointed out that the "Jealous" crooner "played it off so well."

Other celebrities have also proved that tripping on stage happens to the best of them, including music icons Shania Twain and Bruce Springsteen, who have both taken spills during recent concerts.
