Riley Keough Returns to the Golden Globes a Year After Mom Lisa Marie Presley's Death

The 2024 Golden Globes ceremony was likely a bittersweet evening for Riley Keough.

While the 34-year-old actress entered the popular awards show as one of the evening's big nominees—having been nominated for her work in Daisy Jones & the Six—the night likely also served as a reminder of the death of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley.

For those who need a refresher, Lisa Marie, the only child of Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley, passed away at the age of 54 on Jan. 12, 2023. Her untimely passing, which was caused by complications from a small bowel obstruction, came after her final public appearance at the 2023 Golden Globes.

On Jan. 10, 2023, Lisa Marie and Priscilla hit the 80th Golden Globe Awards to celebrate Elvis' many nominations, which resulted in a win for star Austin Butler, who portrayed the late King of Rock 'n' Roll in the hit film.

And, according to Presley's mother, the "Lights Out" singer wasn't feeling well during the Hollywood event. "She didn't look well that night, and I was concerned," Priscilla recalled to Piers Morgan in a November 2023 interview. "She asked Jerry Schilling, one of my best friends, if he could hold her. Her heels were high, and she's worn them before, and I thought, 'Is she OK?' She didn't really look that OK, she looked very frail."

The aftermath of Lisa Marie's death prompted some legal drama for her loved ones, with Riley and Lisa Marie finding themselves in a dispute over the deceased singer's final will. Ultimately, it was agreed upon that Riley would be the sole trustee of her mother's estate, as well as the sub-trusts for her twin sisters, named Harper and Finley.

It seems now is all well for the famous family.
