Rihanna Gets In On the Pantsless Trend and Does It Better Than Anyone Else

The “Love on the Brain” singer upped the ante on the pantsless trend this week with a Beverly Hills date-night look so cool, it’s sure to haunt us for years. The outfit was really a lot to unpack, as it consisted of layered staples that at first glance looked like they might not go together—but on Rihanna, of course they did.
Up top, the Fenty founder looked like a casually rich young mom out for a boat day in the Hamptons. She wore a white graphic baby tee featuring a green bulldog tucked into a white-and-blue striped button-up, which she left open and tied into a knot at the waist. The singer layered an oversize black hoodie over that.
But Rihanna’s bottoms were the standout element of the fit. The singer eschewed pants for a pair of hot black and dark beige Balenciaga fishnet pantaboots in a sleek matte finish. Were it not for the seamless transition from leg to pointy boot heel, one would think the star had stepped out wearing nothing but black fishnets. (One pair of the coveted pantaboots retails for a cool $4,050.)
To top off her part preppy, part cabaret look, Rihanna added some sportiness. With her blonde hair pulled into a curled ponytail, she put on a cobalt-blue Los Angeles Dodgers hat and then sprinkled on some bling with diamond stud earrings and a silver chain necklace. Finally, she added pops of color with a bright red lip and an artful manicure.
So, where did Rihanna wear this flawless pantsless look that all the other pantsless looks will be jealous of? Color Me Mine. Rihanna looked that fierce to go paint pottery with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. And if that’s not life goals, I don’t know what is.
