The Rig's Emily Hampshire reveals season 2 filming update
The Rig star Emily Hampshire has provided an update for the second season of the show.
The actress plays Rose Mason on the Amazon Prime Video series, which premiered in January with a six-episode first season.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy ahead of the UK release of The End of Sex, Hampshire revealed that filming was underway for the second season of the supernatural-thriller series.

“I'm in Scotland and we are in our first week of shooting. It's so great to be back with these guys,” she said, before discussing her reaction to the announcement of season two. “I knew that they wanted a second season. At the end [of season 1], we went off in a helicopter and we were all like: 'Where are we going?'
“We started speculating [that it could be] Hawaii – that was the big one on set. Well, I can say we don't end up in Hawaii, which I was disappointed with until I read the new scripts and realised where we are.
“The setting [for] this season is amazing. I've never done a show that is so epic – [both] visually [and in terms of] huge scale. I've only read the first three scripts and it's blowing my mind,” she added.

Hampshire will next be seen on screen for The End of Sex, a romcom the actress stars in alongside Jonas Chernick. The plot sees the duo play a married couple who sent their kids off to camp and embark in a series of adventures to “reinvigorate their sex life and save their marriage.”
Also starring alongside Hampshire and Chernick are Gray Powell, Lily Gao and Melanie Scrofano, with Sean Garrity in the director’s chair. Hampshire serves as an executive producer for the project, whilst Chernick wrote the screenplay.
The End of Sex is released on digital platforms in the UK on July 3. The Rig is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
